Tobi Adamolekun, the founder of the San Francisco-based Tobi Adamolekun Design Agency (TADA), has worked on projects spanning the globe, from the US and Europe to Asia and Africa. Early in his career, he gained valuable experience working with the late Zaha Hadid in London and François Roche and Stéphanie Lavaux of R&Sie(n) in Paris, shaping his approach to design.

TADA tackles a range of projects, which includes installations, interior architecture single family homes and multi-family dwellings. Adamolekun’s focus is on creating projects that offer unique experiences and a strong sense of place. A recurring concept is the use of light and shadow, incorporating skylights, windows and natural light sources to add depth and texture to spaces. Drawing inspiration from unconventional sources, such as organic and natural systems, he employs these elements as design tools to craft fluid spaces. This sets the scene for spaces that embody the personality and character of his clients creating environments for them to show up in their truest selves.

As his design practice has expanded, so has the scope of Adamolekun’s work. A particularly significant ongoing project involves the development of a residential community on a ski resort in South Lake Tahoe.

Adamolekun received a Master of Architecture from California College of the Arts, a Masters of Sustainable Environmental Design from the Architectural Association in London and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto.
